Pamela J. Hernandez, Omaha, NE, was elected Executive Vice President, Operations and Secretary on Oct. 1, 2008.
Hernandez started her Woodmen of the World career in 1984 as an Educational Instructor in the Field Education Department. She was promoted to Field Communications Manager in 1988 and Project Implementation Manager in 1993. In 2001, Hernandez was appointed an Assistant Vice President and in 2002, she was promoted to Human Resources Manager. She was named Vice President, Human Resources in 2004. In June 2006, she became Senior Vice President, Operations and Strategy Management.
Hernandez became a Woodmen of the World member in 1984 and joined Lodge 1 in Omaha. She has held all lodge offices, including President in 1991. She currently serves as President of the Woodmen Foundation and is a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. She also is active on the Boards of the Nebraska Humane Society, the Women’s Center for Advancement and the Tri-Faith Initiative.
Hernandez received a B.S. in Education from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln (UNL) in 1975 and an M.A. from the same school in 1978. She obtained her FLMI designation in 1989 and is a Registered Representative with Woodmen Financial Services.
