Cathryn B. Mobley of Appomattox, VA, was elected to the National Board of Directors of WoodmenLife in 2020. She currently serves on the Compensation and Audit Committees. Mobley has been a WoodmenLife member for 16 years and is a member of Chapter 71 in Appomattox, VA. She has held the position of Treasurer of Chapter 71 since 2018.

Mobley has also held the positions of President, Vice President and Youth Leader for her chapter. Additionally, she was Treasurer of the Jurisdiction of Virginia from 2010 to 2015 and fulfilled the roles of State Convention Secretary, Treasurer, and Trustee.

Mobley is retired from Longwood University in Farmville, VA, where she was the Associate Vice President for Administration and Finance, Director of Materiel Management.

She earned a bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting and a master’s degree in Accounting from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, VA. Mobley is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

She is active in her community, currently supporting and holding committee, teaching and leadership positions at the Evergreen Baptist Church, Evergreen Ruritan Club and Evergreen Cemetery Fund. Mobley was previously involved with United Way, Junior Achievement, the Lynchburg Chamber of Commerce, and Cornerstone Christian Academy.

Mobley enjoys spending time with her family and friends, golfing, collecting and driving vintage cars, and supporting her church and community. She is married to Larry Mobley, and they have one daughter.
