WoodmenLife values patriotism, and we give our members many opportunities to celebrate their American pride.
WoodmenLife provides American and state flags to local chapters for presentation to nonprofit civic and youth groups, schools, churches, and community centers. Since 1947, we have donated more than 3 million flags to worthy nonprofit institutions.
WoodmenLife chapters plan Flags Across America projects and observances annually on June 14. Flags Across America programs and sites are sponsored by the National Flag Foundation.
Out of the ashes of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks of 2001, WoodmenLife members rise each year to organize In Honor and Remembrance ceremonies. Held on Sept. 11, these ceremonies honor the heroes and victims of those attacks, as well as local community heroes and volunteers.
Many of our chapters hold events to thank the first responders and veterans in their communities. They also plan community service projects for Veterans Day, Memorial Day and Independence Day.
WoodmenLife's Traveling Flags make a big statement about our patriotism. Currently, we have 50- x 100-foot and 30- x 60-foot flags available for rent. These oversized Traveling Flags can be used at parades, athletic events, school assemblies and other patriotic celebrations.
Request a flag for use at your local event.
